Jiyeon began her letter by stating that she has a piece of big news to share with her fans directly. The singer also wrote that she wanted to tell her fans about it in her words. And, that is the reason for her to write a personal letter to them. The T-ara member then spoke about her relationship with Jae Gyun and shared their wedding plans.

Here is the Complete Letter:

Hello, this is Jiyeon.

There's something I wanted to share with my fans directly, so I took the courage to write this.

I debuted in my teens, and somehow the time has flown by and I'm now in my 30s.

When I was surrounded by anxieties and uncertainties after my debut as a young and scared teenager when I wanted to give up due to hard times in my 20s, it was thanks to you who reached out your hands to me and cheered me on that I was able to pass through the long tunnel and get to where I am today.

Rather than hearing the news from other people, I wanted to tell my fans directly through my own words.

Last year, I had a boyfriend whom I started dating after meeting through an acquaintance. He is always considerate of me, takes care of me, and taught me what happiness is. Next winter, I will exchange vows with this boyfriend who has been like a gift that life has given me.

I will live happily and beautifully with my dependable boyfriend, who has always given me his shoulder to lean on and took firm hold of me when I was feeling unstable.

I'm worried that you might be surprised by the sudden news. Now that the day has come for me to share this happiness with everyone, I'm also nervous and shaking as I write word by word.

I will continue to repay the love and support of fans by showing a good image. Thank you and I love you.

Meanwhile, Jae Gyun shared the marriage news with his fans. He stated that he found a person with her, he wants to spend the rest of his life. Then, the baseball player further explained what he liked about Jiyeon and the reason for their decision to exchange vows next winter.

"I have found a person that I want to spend forever with. During a difficult period last year, I met someone who took firm hold of me and helped me even just standing by my side, and we have decided to get married. I was worried that I could affect the mood of my team, KT, who are working hard with the one goal of winning, with news about my dating and marriage in the middle of the season where we need to be focused on games. That's why we are announcing this ahead of the start of the season", he wrote.

Jiyeon started dating Jae Gyun for over five months. Ever since the couple announced their marriage, clips of the baseball player when he appeared in various variety shows have started doing the rounds. Several netizens are celebrating the news by sharing the statements made by Jae Gyun about his ideal type.

When the baseball player appeared KBS variety show Mr.House Husband, he opened up about his girlfriend. The KT Wiz professional baseball player said he does not have an ideal type and his girlfriend is the best. Hae Hyun also revealed that he is in a relationship for the last fours months, and she has always been a great support to him.

"I don't have an ideal type. At the moment, my girlfriend is the best. I think I have been dating her for four months. Do we need to pay for loving someone? I was having a hard time after the Olympics, but she helped me a lot during that time, he said.

Korean Series champs KT Wiz retain starters Despaigne, Cuevas

The South Korean baseball champions KT Wiz announced Thursday they will bring back both of their foreign starting pitchers for next year.

The Wiz said they have signed right-handers Odrisamer Despaigne and William Cuevas to new one-year deals.

Despaigne, 34, can earn a maximum $1.35 million, with $1.1 million in salary and signing bonus, plus up to $250,000 in incentives. The 31-year-old Cuevas can earn as much as $1.1 million won -- $1 million in salary and signing bonus, and a maximum $100,000 in incentives.

Despaigne will be back for his third season with the Wiz, and Cuevas will be pitching for his fourth season with the club.

In 2021, Despaigne went 13-10 with a team-leading 3.39 ERA and 165 strikeouts in 33 starts. The Cuban right-hander has led the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) in innings pitched in each of the past two seasons: 188 2/3 innings this year and 207 2/3 innings in 2020.

Cuevas was 9-5 with a 4.12 ERA in 23 starts this year. The Venezuelan saved his best work for key moments, though. On Oct. 31, Cuevas threw seven shutout innings on two days' rest to help the Wiz beat the Samsung Lions 1-0 in a rare tiebreaker for the regular season crown.

Cuevas then pitched the opening game of the Korean Series and held the Doosan Bears to a run over 7 2/3 innings in a 4-2 win, paving the path for a four-game sweep by the Wiz for their first championship.

"Despaigne and Cuevas are both proven pitchers," said KT general manager Lee Soong-yong. "Despaigne ate up a lot of innings for us, and Cuevas pitched well in crucial games. We're counting on them to be our aces again next year."

The Wiz have now completed their foreign player signings for 2022. On Dec. 1, they acquired former major league outfielder Henry Ramos.

KBO clubs can carry up to three foreign players, but no more than two pitchers.

In domestic free agency, the Wiz brought back catcher Jang Sung-woo and third baseman Hwang Jae-gyun, before making a big splash Wednesday by signing two-time MVP Park Byung-ho away from the Kiwoom Heroes. (Yonhap)
