As we inch closer towards Valentine’s Day, Netflix is bringing the painful process of romance to life with the release of new K-film Love and Leashes.
Love is complicated, romance in the workplace is even more complicated and the less said about the complications associated with BDSM the better…So what could go wrong when all three are combined?
This week, Netflix is turning up the heat as we move steadily towards every couple’s favourite day, Valentine’s.
However, the streaming giant is taking a somewhat riskier approach to this year’s special day, with a brand-new Korean movie that is sure to get the blood pumping, Love and Leashes.

Love and Leashes is an upcoming South Korean romantic comedy movie, based on the hit webtoon ‘Moral Sense’ by author Gyeoul.
The movie tells the story of a budding romance between office co-workers Jung Jihoo and Jung Jiwoo (don’t worry, there aren’t related in any way).
Jihoo is the perfect worker and is adored by his colleagues, especially the women around him, but he has a secret that he wishes to keep out of the office-gossip…he’s into BDSM.
One day, his colleague Jiwoo opens a package meant for him and finds a spiked dog collar. After trying to play off that it’s for a three-year-old Poodle, Jihoo comes clean about his private desires…which starts to stir something in his new ‘master’.

Love and Leashes is scheduled to release worldwide through the Netflix streaming platform on Friday, February 11th, 2022.
The movie, with a runtime of one hour and 52-minutes, will become available to stream from the following international times:
The two main actors in Love and Leashes are Seohyun as Jung Jiwoo and Lee Jun-young and Jung Jihoo.
Seohyun, real name Seo Ju-hyun, is a popular South Korean singer and actress from Seoul. The 30-year-old is best-known for being a member of global K-pop sensation Girls’ Generation, making her acting debut in 2008 in a cameo appearance for the KBS drama Unstoppable Marriage.
After several more cameo and supporting roles, Seohyun would make her big television breakthrough in the 2017 series Bad Thief, Good Thief. She would then appear in the likes of Time (2018), Hello Dracula (2020) and Private Lives (2020).
Seohyun will be making her Netflix debut in Love and Leashes, which she will follow up with Jinx’s Lover, an upcoming KBS drama set to debut in June 2022.
Alongside Seohyun will be fellow singer-turned-actor Lee Jun-young (better known as simply Jun). Jun was originally a member of boyband U-KISS, before joining UNB after winning the survival reality show The Unit in 2017.
Jun is one of South Korea’s fastest-rising stars of the small screen, with roles in Avengers Social Club (2017), Good Casting (2020), Please Don’t Date Him (2020) and Imitation (2021).
Netflix fans will also recognise the actor as Jung Hyun-min from the 2021 series D.P.
